Thoughts on opponent, Ricardo Palacios? I think he is very tough and aggressive. The perfect kind of matchup for a Fight of the Night candidate.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training after night school in 2007 because of my brothers. I was a punchy kid growing up so they made me focus it on training

What titles have you held? As an amateur I held the Destiny MMA 145lb Title, 808Battlegounds 145lb Title and the BJ Penn’s Just Scrap 145lb Title.  As a pro I won the Destiny mma 135lb world title and the Alaska Fighting Championship 135lb world title

Do you have any heroes? My heroes would have to be my two older brothers, Danny and Desmond.  They both took me under their wings while they were still very young and molded me into the person I am today.

What would it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It would mean the world to me to fight in the UFC.  I’ve put in so much of my life into this sport to not get a chance to be in the UFC.  Not only would I be rewarded, but my family and all my supporters as well.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked in a warehouse and for Pepsi before fighting.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Captured 3 titles and secured a record of 23 wins and 3 losses

Ranks in any martial arts styles: Blue belt under BJ Penn’s Nova Uniao school

Favorite grappling technique: Guillotine choke

Favorite Striking technique: Flying knee
