Biography

TRAINING: Morning striking classes 9-11.  Team practice 3-5 striking or wrestling.  Teach kids’ Jiu-Jitsu, strength & conditioning workout or another striking class.  Then I finish my day with a run before bed. 

When and why did you start training for fighting?  I wrestled for seven years.  June of 2009, I started Jiu-Jitsu with the intent to be a professional fighter.  I started training because I believe I can be a UFC champion.

What titles have you held? WXC featherweight champion

Do you have any heroes?  Arnold Schwarzenegger and Godzilla

What would it mean for you to fight in the UFC?  It would mean the future I saw for myself was true and this is what I was put on this planet to do.

What was your job before you started fighting? I worked all kinds of jobs - warehouses, dishwasher, construction

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Pan-Am IBJJF brown belt medalist

Ranks in any martial arts styles: Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Favorite grappling technique: D’Arce choke
